Bison Inspection Services proudly provides home inspection services to Fargo/Moorhead, West Fargo, Lakes Region and the surrounding area. We provide comprehensive home inspection services that include the residential real estate inspection itself, as well as radon and mold testing.

Home Inspection

Our home inspection is a thorough evaluation of the home's structural components and systems. We will assess your roof, lots and grounds, heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical, certain appliances, water and sewage. We will also look for and inform you of any possible health hazards that we find during your home inspection.

Different types of home inspections include:

Existing home inspections are the most common type of home inspection. Done prior to finalizing a home purchase and by the buyer of the home. This inspection will educate the buyer of any home defects or concerns before they commit to the purchase of their new home.

11 Month Warranty Inspections

When a home inspection is performed prior to your new home warranty expiring. This will help ensure that your brand new home has no defects or issues that need to be addressed by your home builder.

Pre-Listing Home Inspection

A home inspection done by the seller of a property prior to listing the home. This gives the seller the opportunity to correct any defects or concerns before putting their home on the market. This helps provide a smooth and seamless transaction.

Radon Testing

Radon is a natural-occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer if exposed to high amounts for a long period of time. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.

Bison Inspection Services offers a radon test where we will leave radon detection equipment in the home for 48 hours. Over those 48 hours the hardware will obtain samples of the breathable air around it. Once the test time has expired, Bison Inspections will then download the data and provide you with a final evaluation report. You will then have the information necessary to make any changes needed to keep your family safe or you will also have peace of mind knowing that your home is considered to have acceptable levels of radon.

Mold Testing

Mold can be common in homes where moisture is present. Some people are more sensitive to mold than others. If we visualize signs of mold during the inspection we will make sure you are notified. That way you can make an informed decision to have a mold test done in order to determine the type of mold present. We will take a sample of the affected area which will then be sent to a third party lab for further testing and report back on the findings.
